Who can use a red light therapy bed?
Red light therapy is entirely safe and non-invasive, meaning it can be used by anyone –
young or old and up to 400 lbs.
What is the standard treatment like?
Similar to lying in a tanning bed, but red light therapy beds don't have UVA or UVB rays, so you won't feel as if you have a sunburn after treatment and is completely safe and beneficial.
The light is simply used for up to 20-min per session. No lotion is required.
Can I wear makeup in the Red Light Therapy bed?
Yes, makeup and jewelry can be worn and should not affect the performance of the therapy.
Can I wear my clothes in the Red Light Therapy bed or should I be nude?
The skin that you wish to be treated should be fully exposed to the light. You can choose to wear something or go completely nude, it's up to you.
How often can it be used?
The red light would ideally be used 2-3 days per week to start off and continue like that for 4-6 weeks, but it is safe for daily use. For general maintenance and health once every other week or even just once a month would be adequate.
Are there any risks from red light therapy?
There are no serious side effects documented.
Do I need to wear some sort of eye protection?
It is not required that you wear eye protection, nevertheless the lights are very bright and may be uncomfortable. We provide goggles for you to use, should you choose to wear them.
